All proper Biosecurity measures are taken to protect your flocks. DPS provides cloth coveralls, hairnets, rubber boots, injectors, needles, and disinfectant. All equipment used on the farm will be properly washed and disinfected daily. Including but not limited to van, trailer, vaccination wheel, tables, pens, chairs, coolers, nets, posts, ropes, coveralls, boots, vaccine injectors and applicators.
Provide Vaccine inventory management including ordering, storing, and maintaining inventory on all required vaccines. Our walk-in cooler is monitored 24-7 for maintaining proper temperatures.
Our method of vaccination includes a Vaccination Wheel for the Pullets and Hand to Hand vaccination for the Males (crew members catch birds one bird per hand, by the wing). With both methods we will provide an accurate count of the birds in the house. Also, included is a detailed worksheet including bird totals and vaccine usage. During the vaccination, vaccine temps are closely monitored / recorded, and Quality checks are made to ensure vaccines are properly administered.
